WittKieffer is partnering with Wellstar Health System in its search for a dynamic and motivated sales leader to serve as their inaugural Vice President, Sales (VP). The VP will serve as a vital leader in establishing sales and marketing success for the newly formed Wellstar Health Plan (WHP).

In 2023, Wellstar made the strategic decision to launch its own health plan and has invested over $500 Million into its digital operating model that the health plan can leverage to better serve patients and members through its product offerings. The population in Wellstar's service area is approximately 1.2 million people; many of whom use Wellstar providers for their health care needs. Wellstar believes their own health plan can serve an unmet need in the marketplace for a high-quality plan at a reasonable cost that takes advantage of its broad network of services and providers.

The VP of Sales is a key member of the WHP management team and is responsible for directing the sales functions of the health plan. The VP will develop sales strategies and tactics to compete in the small and mid-size group insurance market in the counties that WHS and WHP serves. The successful candidate must be a strong sales leader; one who is both internally and externally focused and enjoys both short and long-term sales planning. This individual should be energized by building a sales function within a start-up, provider owned health plan that has a robust and integrated provider network. This person will be experienced at selling into broker channels, as well as direct to employers.
