WellStar Health System has retained WittKieffer to assist in the search for a Senior Vice President and President, WellStar Health Plan. WellStar seeks a visionary, experienced and motivated health plan leader to run its newly formed health plan.

The next President will help WellStar achieve its goals around providing competitive health plan options to individuals and employers throughout its 1.2 million people strong service area. The President will lead their team to deliver on developing high quality plans at the lowest cost as well as develop provider strong relationships within their network, and establish trusting relationships with the State of Georgia's Division of Insurance.  The President will direct and develop strategic goals into specific business plans, collaborating with team members to achieve these goals that contribute to growth in membership.

The SVP and President reports dually to the Health Plan Board of Directors and the Chief Financial Officer of WellStar Health System. A proven track record in senior management experience (10 to 15 years) within a complex, healthcare payer organization is critical to the success of the new CEO. Experience gained in a provider-owned health plan is desirable. A bachelor's degree is required, while an advanced degree in a related field is highly desirable.
