Alexander (Sander) C. Domaszewicz Senior Consultant, Mercer Health and Benefits |
Alexander C. Domaszewicz
Sander is a Principal and Senior Consultant housed in the Mercer Human Resource Consulting LLC (Mercer) Newport Beach, California office. He is Mercer's National Practice Leader for Consumerism within the Health Care & Group Benefits business, specializing in emerging benefits and areas where technology intersects with human resources, benefits, and health care. Areas of focus include health care strategy, consumer directed health care, health and benefits decision support tools, web health resources, HR portals and online benefits. Sander's prior experience includes project management in the Health & Group Benefits Delivery Services group at Hewitt Associates for flexible benefits administration outsourcing. In this capacity he addressed outsourcing issues, systems integration, design, and testing as well as database administration and training relating to flexible benefits. Prior to Hewitt, Sander managed a hearing health care facility in Southern California, giving him exposure to issues from the provider perspective.
Sander is a frequent presenter at benefits-related events and has published articles in HR Magazine, Workforce and Employee Benefit News. His consulting assignments include work with Charter Communications, Clorox, EDS, Fujitsu, Northrop Grumman, PacifiCare, Pacific Business Group on Health, Standard Insurance, State of Florida, Toyota, WellPoint and many other large organizations.
Sander holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University, a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a certificate in Human Resources Management from Cornell.

Lawrence J. McCarthy, Principal & Senior Actuary, Mercer Health and Benefits |
Mac is a principal and senior actuary in Mercer's Richmond health care & group benefits practice. Mr. McCarthy serves as a national resource within Mercer for issues regarding Consumer Directed Health Care, health claim data analysis, and health plan pricing.
Mac provides group actuarial consulting services to a variety of regional and national clients on the design, pricing and valuation of health and welfare benefits for employees and retirees. This includes development of short and long term health care benefit strategies, performing incurred claims analyses and projections, determining benefit values for traditional, managed care, and consumer driven health plans, as well as postretirement welfare benefit design and valuations. Since 2000, Mac has been actively involved in the design of consumer-driven health plans and the development of models to assess the financial impact of these programs.
Mac has more than 30 years of experience in the group life and health benefits field. Before joining Mercer, Mac performed group actuarial and administrative work for a regional insurance company in the Midwest and was the group pricing and product development actuary for a regional insurance company in the Southeast.
Mac received a BS in mathematics from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.

The dial-in instructions will include a unique dial-in ID Participant code that can only be used for a single phone line and not shared.
