1. Leadership Profiles
Through an extensive national campaign to
identify the top leaders in managed health care, key individuals from virtually
every segment of the managed care industry have been identified. This section
contains 625 biographies of these leaders in alphabetical order.
2. Health Plan CEO Listing
In addition to the Leadership Profiles contained in
section one, a listing with contact information for most HMO CEOs around the
country is provided. This listing of 483 CEOs includes some biographies featured
in the Leadership Profile as well as many CEOs who were not included in the
Leadership Profile. The listing is organized by state by company.
3. Leadership Indexes
The Leadership Index provides additional navigation,
providing a table of leaders for the entire Directory sorted alphabetically, by
company, by state and by parent company. Also, the CD-ROM version of this Who's
Who Directory provides searchable features using the Adobe Acrobat menu.

The National Managed Care Leadership Directory is the ideal tool for networking, recruitment, research, sales prospecting and more! What makes the Directory unique is that it covers multiple industry segments related to managed care and not just health plans; reports on a broader range of staff positions; and categorizes each position by standard job functions.
The Directory has 388 pages with 5,480 executive listings from 760 companies, with a varying number of key executive positions listed per company. Companies reported include health plans, provider networks, PBMs, administrative organizations (quality improvement organizations, utilizations and disease management organizations, and TPAs) and specialty organizations (dental, vision and behavioral).
Company Description: The information included has been provided by the listed organizations or through MCOL research. Companies from multiple industry segments are included to provide a single source of information on major managed care companies and their respective leaders. Parent Company and web site information has been provided for many of the applicable organizations, and all companies have been classified according to the following
Company Types: Administrative Organizations, Health Plans, PBMs, Provider Networks or Specialty Organizations.
Executive Listing: The individuals listed for each organization are those with decision-making authority in various functions of the company. 32 key functions were identified which apply to many managed care organizations, and employees listed are categorized according to these job functions. In some cases, an individual is listed for two job functions, depending on the nature of their position. In addition to the general functional descriptions, the specific titles of executives are listed when provided by their organizations.
Navigation: The directory lists companies in alphabetical order.
