The new edition of the
Training Manual CD-ROM contains updated modules, including: Welcome Video Clip; the Intro
to Managed Care Training Manual with 14 chapters and optional interactive quizzes; the
Advanced Topics Seminar with 47 selected papers, included 15 newly added presentations;
Managed Care Fact Sheets; Where to Get More Information; and a Help Section.
The Intro to Managed Care Training
Manual covers 154 pages in Executive-style bullet sentence format, plus the optional
interactive quizzes at the end of each of the first twelve chapters. The Advanced Topics
Seminar now covers 130+ pages in detailed narrative, divided into seven sections by
subject matter. The Managed Care Fact Sheets contain eight key slides providing
statistical snapshots and graphs on the state of the managed care industry. Other Training
Manual modules include the Welcome Video overview; Where to Get More Information with
links to key web sites; and the Help Section with various supports resources. Besides
expanding the Advanced Topics seminar, version 6.0 provides significant updates to data
provided throughout the manual, and major revisions in the Consumerism chapter of the

Instructors Kit CD-ROM includes a 124 slide Instructors Presentation in Microsoft
