Modesto, CA - Managed Care On-Line, the private on-line service featuring powerful data, informational and communication applications for those professionally involved in managed care, has just added a number of new features to its service.
"We are continuously expanding and updating the features we offer," reported Clive Riddle, MCOL President. "We're very pleased to offer these exciting new resources to our subscribers."
New features include:
MCOL Capulator - the Capulator calculates capitation requirements, runs custom scenarios and generates reports. Pre-set health plan, hospital, medical group and individual provider capitation models are provided, and custom models can be created. Subscribers can use Capulator off-line at any time.
Daily Headline News - Using an electronic newsfeed from Farcast, MCOL is now supplying a daily summary of top managed care news stories along with general national and world news headlines.
Premium News - MCOL is now offering on-line subscriptions to three Atlantic Information Services publications: Managed Care Week, Managed Behavioral Health News and Managed Medicare & Medicaid.
Tutorials - MCOL is introducing short tutorial demonstrations of how to best use such features as the MCOL Capulator or Health Plan Data. Each tutorial provides screen images of the feature, with explanatory narratives and animated arrows to direct user attention. The tutorials are in addition to the interactive on-line help support provided in MCOL. Tutorials can be used off-line. Free diskette copies of the MCOL Tutorials are available upon request from interested parties.
Monthly Data Updates - MCOL is now providing monthly updates to such databases as the health plan directory, purchasing pool premiums and web site directory. Users can control when to download the updates simply by clicking the data updates icon.
Additions to other features such as Data Report Cards, the Information Exchange, Survey Presentations and MCOL News are made separately throughout the month.
