MCOL CUSTOMIZED GROUP RESOURCE DISKETTE NOW AVAILABLE FOR HEALTH PLANS

Modesto, CA - MCOL, the managed care informational software company, has announced introduction of its customized Group Resource Diskette for use by health plans.

"We have created an innovative, affordable, easy to use Windows based diskette that health plans can distribute to their employer groups and agents that contains key health plan information and documents," stated Clive Riddle, MCOL President. "An employer group simply installs the diskette on their computer, and they have a powerful desktop resource that can print provider rosters, benefit plan summaries or health plan policies, complete or print member enrollment or status change forms, provide key contact information, present plan information and much more."

The MCOL Group Resource Diskette is customized for each health plan. According to Riddle, "The diskette label indicates the diskette is issued by the plan. The plan name and logo appear throughout the program, and of course the plan documents are unique to each plan."

Why would a health plan want to invest in a Group Resource Diskette? Riddle responds, "As a former HMO CEO, I know too well that group benefit offices are buried in forms and documents and often can't find key items and information on a health plan when they need it the most. A health plan that provides a 21st century solution to this problem improves its group and member service, and uniquely positions itself. Furthermore, the Group Resource Diskette offers a lower cost solution to distributing this crucial health plan information compared to paper documents."

How does the Group Resource Diskette work? The user just inserts the diskette, uses the Windows Run function, types install, and the program is installed to the computer's hard drive. By clicking the health plans icon at any time, users access a menu where they can point and click their mouse to the choices of available information and documents.

"A great bonus is how the Group Resource Diskette can work with health plan web sites," Riddle added. "The diskette can be downloaded from a health plan's web site. Updated information such as the provider roster could be made available on a web site to download right to the computer's directory containing the Group Resource Program."
