MCOL advisory board welcomes two academic thought leaders: 
James C. Robinson and Jeremy J. Nobel, MD
 
MODESTO, CA, NOVEMBER 30, 2000 --- MCOL (mcol.com), the leading healthcare internet company delivering business-to-business managed care resources, today announced the appointments of noted thought leaders James C. Robinson, Professor of Health Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, and Jeremy J. Nobel, M.D., NaviMedix VP of Medical Affairs and on the faculty at Harvard School of Public Health. 

The purpose of the nine-member Advisory Board, consisting of national healthcare strategists and key healthcare business leaders, is to ensure that MCOL continues to deliver high quality, relevant and robust content and applications. The Advisory Board also helps guide MCOL in new product development and future business plans.

Dr. Jeremy Nobel designs health care management and delivery systems that focus on cost and quality concerns. He is co-founder of NaviMedix, an Internet based physician connectivity company where he currently serves as VP of Medical Affairs. He is also on the faculty of the Harvard School of Public Health where he teaches and does research on the strategic use of information technologies in health care delivery. Dr. Nobel is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with Master's Degrees in Epidemiology and Health Policy from the Harvard School of Public Health. He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University within the Science and Human Affairs program. He received his medical education at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his internal medicine residency at the Beth Israel Hospital, Boston.

James C. Robinson is Professor of Health Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on managed care, medical groups, health insurance, and capital finance. Dr. Robinson has published over 50 papers in scientific journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, and Health Affairs. His new book on physician organization in the era of managed care, The Corporate Practice of Medicine, recently was published by the University of California Press. Dr. Robinson teaches courses in health economics, health care finance, and environmental policy.
