MCOL enters into distribution agreement with Microsoft to provide MicrosoftÒ Internet Explorer for Managed Care On-Line subscribers
Modesto, CA - MCOL has entered into a distribution agreement with Microsoft to provide a customized Internet Explorer for Managed Care On-Line subscribers. Managed Care On-Line, is the internet accessible private on-line service with powerful managed care software applications. In addition to other formats in which software applications are launched through the service, MCOL has now enabled an innovative feature that lanches .htm "web" pages and automatically activates the browser, even if the subscriber connected directly, and not through the internet, and even when the subscriber is not connected on-line at all.
"We are pleased to enter into this relationship with Microsoft to provide their Internet Explorer browser for our subscribers, so all can utilize our new features that will launch in .htm ‘web’ format," announced Archie Sanford, Chief Information Officer. "This will ensure that all our subscribers have access to this feature, even those who aren’t connecting to us via the internet, don’t have a browser, or want to upgrade to the superior features of the v3.02 Internet Explorer, " explained Sanford.
The current version of the Internet Explorer will be available for free to all subscribers, either via a download from the service, or via diskette shipment upon request. Under the terms of the distribution agreement, Internet Explorer has been customized for Managed Care On-Line subscribers to include quick link buttons to key MCOL web pages, a menu link for MCOL support, and numerous bookmarks to key managed care web sites.
